Carrera Cup Heads For Brands Hatch 1st & 2nd May – Harbour Cars

The stunning Grand Prix circuit at Brands Hatch is the setting for rounds five and six of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB this weekend (1/2 May), with a capacity 28-car field set to do battle around the famous track.

With four wins from four races so far, Tim Harvey (Red Line Racing) has seized the early advantage during a stunning run of winning form, but Michael Caine (Motorbase Performance) has taken the fight to Harvey every time out and is determined to stop Harvey winning again at Brands. In the two Rockingham races, less than a second split Harvey and Caine after nearly half an hour of racing and Caine knows that he has the pace to beat Harvey, particularly if he can qualify on pole position. Heading for Brands, Harvey has a 12-point lead over Caine, but one non-finish will have a big impact on the early title race.

Carrera Cup qualifying is on Saturday at 11.55, with the first race at 10.10 on Sunday and the second race at 16.05. The second race is due to be shown live on ITV4 in the extensive BTCC race day programme, which starts at 11.30am.
